Brandon Doerr

My name is Brandon Doerr. I am originally from Holt, MI. 3 years ago my wife, Laura, and I bought Snap Fitness in Mason. We have been very passionate about the gym and our members. Seeing the community come in day in and day out to improve their health is amazing.

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I am married to Laura and we have one daughter, Taylor.

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I currently own Snap Fitness in Mason with my wife Laura. We love the people we meet every day and the people we help achieve their fitness goals. Being a part of this community is a blessing.

Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
I really enjoy City Limits and Klavon’s.

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
My whole life. I am 37 years old. I briefly moved to Arizona from 2007-2011 but returned home the first chance I got.

Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
It’s hard to narrow it down to one person. Owning the gym and talking with so many people from the community on a daily basis, each person has an interesting story or past. I enjoy each one of them.

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
Costa Rica. It’s warm with beautiful beaches and top-notch fishing.

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
One of my favorite movies is “The Big Lebowski”. One of my favorite TV shows is “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.”

Q: What advice would you give to people?
Advice that has seemed to work for me is, When life knocks you down, get right back up and fight back. Life is full of failures. The failures and how we respond are what define us.

Q: What is something on your bucket list?
To go elk hunting out west.

Q: Who is your “go-to” band when you can’t decide what music you want to hear?
I don’t really have a “go-to” band. I just open my favorites on Spotify and let the music play.

Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?
I can’t think of just one off the top of my head.

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
My old boss. I think we would meet at City Limits.

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
How close everyone is. It’s like one giant family.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Hopefully still running the gym and continuing to grow with the community.

Q: What is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
There’s really nothing someone doesn’t know about me. I’m a pretty open guy.

Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?
Disney World.

July, Christmas, New Year’s Day!

Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
My wife! She’s a 10 out of 10 in every aspect!

Q: Who inspires you to be better?
My mom and dad.

Q: What is one or two of your favorite smells?
I like the smell of fall and fresh-cut grass.
