My husband Tim and I were both born and raised in Mason, and we’re proud to have grown up here.  We own Lansing Lawn and Snow, a commercial and residential lawn maintenance and snow removal company. We are your complete outdoor maintenance provider!

 

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
Tim and I graduated from Mason High School and have raised our 4 children here. We own Lansing Lawn & Snow and live on the family farm. Our farm has been in the same family since Michigan became a state – 1837! Our grandson is the 9th generation!

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I have owned and operated Lansing Lawn & Snow for over 20 years. Love the customer and community interaction.

Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
Los Tres Amigos, City Limits, and Klavon’s.

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
I have lived in Mason most of my entire life.

Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
Iva Simpson.

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
I would love to revisit Germany. I lived there for some of my elementary years while my dad was stationed there. I would love to see what has changed since then.

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
Yellowstone, This Is Us, A Million Little Things.

Q: What advice would you give to people?
Be Kind, Always!

Q: What is something on your bucket list?
Travel more!

Q: Who is your “go-to” band when you can’t decide what music you want to hear?
Tim McGraw.

Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?
Kean’s – I also miss Town Square Pizza.

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
I’ll have to think about that one for a bit and get back to you!

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
Friday night home football games!

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Enjoying retirement – hopefully.

Q: What is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I chased a purse snatcher at the Chicago Train Station. I was 8 months pregnant AND I got my purse back!

Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?
The Smokey Mountains in Tennessee, in the fall.

Q: Favorite month? Favorite holiday? The best single day on the calendar?
September (start of FOOTBALL!). Christmas! Other favorite days – the birthdays of my children.

Q: Who inspires you to be better?
My children and my husband.

Q: What is one or two of your favorite smells?
Fresh cut hay & freshly brewed coffee.

Where I find solace and a place I hope my children will always want to return.
